UN Commission Recognizes Israel’s Actions in Gaza as Genocide

Good Monday Morning Beloved Sentients. The Blog posts are coming thick and fast now that the “X” Trump brain worm is out of my head. I am able to source interesting news articles and not being constantly dragged under by the tsunami of algorithmic assaults on my thinking processes. It is such a relief!

Yesterday I sourced an article in Sputnik which provided the real reason why Western countries, including Canada, are suddenly recognizing Palestine’s right to Statehood. No where in the Western M$M is this reason mentioned. It’s as if the United Nations has for no apparent reason suddenly grown a spine and is now belatedly calling a halt to Israel’s two year old military attacks pent on exterminating Palestinians and taking their land.

“A new comprehensive UN inquiry has concluded that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza. Ex-UN rapporteur and veteran international law expert Dr. Alfred de Zayas explains why that’s hugely important, and what the world can do about it (if it wants to).

Key Findings

Israel’s actions (killing, maiming, causing mental harm to Palestinians, deliberately inflicting conditions of life calculated to bring about their physical destruction, taking measures to prevent births) check four of five of the 1948 Genocide Convention’s criteria for genocide, per the report.

Intent Proven

Crucially, de Zayas says, the inquiry shows “how the statements of Israeli political and military leaders prove the ‘intent’ (required in Art. II of the Convention) to destroy in whole or part the Palestinian population.”

The “extensive” report is proof “that Israel is waging war not only against the Palestinians in Gaza but against the UN Charter and international law in general,” according to the top legal observer.

West Complicit

“Governments that have provided military, economic, political, diplomatic and propagandistic support” are also accountable, de Zayas says. The US, UK, France and Germany “are all complicit in the genocide under Article III (e) of the Genocide Convention.”

UN’s Response Options

• recognition of Palestinian statehood (which alas, “will not save the lives of Palestinians”)

• Israel’s expulsion from the UN pursuant to Article 6 of the UN Charter (improbable given the need for Security Council and hence US approval)

• stripping Israeli diplomats of UN accreditation, as was done against South Africa in the 1970s during Apartheid. Crucially, this measure would not require Security Council backing

• the UN has the legal framework to intervene using the 2005 ‘Responsibility to Protect’ doctrine

• the General Assembly could adopt a ‘Uniting for Peace’ resolution authorizing nations “to take military action” to stop the genocide, bypassing the Security Council veto

UN’s Last Chance to Save Its Credibility?

“If the United Nations fails” to take action, “it will lose the little authority and credibility it still has,” de Zayas summed up.”

Greencrow continues: Yes, folks the Western members of the United Nations including Canada are responding to the United Nations own document. If they ignore it–then the United Nations loses all credibility. Their backs are against the wall if they want to maintain the “talk shop” assembly of nations in New York City.

That’s why Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has travelled to New York to attend the United Nations General Assembly--to underscore the need to follow through on the recommendations of the UN’s own investigation and subsequent report.

Two Gaza City hospitals have been taken out of service due to Israel’s escalation of its ground offensive and damage caused by continued Israeli bombing, the enclave’s Health Ministry said, as tanks advanced deeper into the territory.

The ministry said in its statement that Al-Rantissi Children’s Hospital was badly damaged a few days ago by an Israeli bombardment. At the same time, it reported Israeli attacks in the vicinity of the nearby Eye Hospital, which forced the suspension of services there, too.

“The occupation deliberately and systematically targets the health-care system in the Gaza governorate as part of its genocidal policy against the Strip,” it said.

Greencrow continues: These two developments:

1. The UN Report declaring Israel is committing a genocide in Palestine, and
2. The Canadian declaration that Palestine is a State

….could not have happened at a more interesting time for me personally. A member of my family has recently disowned me [forever, I guess] because of their support of Israel. I am not entirely sure–but due to a clash and “disownment” on this issue in the past I am surmising that this person must have read one of my blog posts on the topic. No words have been exchanged–just silence.

I am hoping that the UN report linked above and Canada’s declaration that Palestine is a State will bring this person to their senses...[lol fat chance of that happening]. At least it makes me feel better.

The people who support Israel at this stage of the game are lost to humanity. They have gone over to the Satanic dark side.

I see that the Mainstream Media is still pumping the false notion that Hamas caused the October 7, 2023 False Flag. To that I state simply that “AK47’s do not melt cars and Israel created Hamas”.

Greencrow concludes: Folks, there will be a lot of wringing of hands, weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth at the United Nation in the coming weeks–as the Western Nations pretend there’s “nothing they can do” to stop Israel from killing Palestinians and stealing their ancestral lands. But–if you look at the options open to UN members in the bullets above encased in the Sputnik report you’ll see there are several very good and viable options.

My preference is the third one listed:

I recommend keeping it simple. Simply strip all Israeli delegates of UN accreditation. This was done before [to South Africa] and was successful. All it would take would be the courage, determination and unity from the United Nations General Assembly to vote on the matter. What do they have to lose?

Well, the stakes are very high. If the United Nations does not stop the Israeli genocide that is described in detail in their own report–then they will lose all credibility.

Of course, this [the end of the United Nations] is what the US and Israel want anyway–so, sadly, it will likely be the final outcome. Stay tuned.
