Trump’s terrifying threat to Canada made the day after his election–to make us the 51st State of the US…a fate worse than death for real patriotic Canadians–is now being shown against the backdrop of all his other strange verbal meanderings. As I said in Part One of “I am the King and I want Dumplings” you can read HERE…Trump is like the German Kaiser who insisted on having out-of-season fruit dumplings because “I am the Emperor!” Fortunate for the German public, the insane Kaiser was kept locked in a room of the palace for all of his long life/rule–never allowed to make policy;

Greencrow continues: Speaking of Panama. The President of Panama showed the world that Panama has more cajones than Canada the other day when he wrote a formal letter of complaint to the UN Secretary General about Trump’s noxious and vile threat to re-take the Panama canal, perhaps with use of military. Canada should have immediately recalled our Ambassador from Washington pending an apology from the US State Department [forget getting an apology from Trump…it wouldn’t mean anything anyway] for Trump’s threat to make Canada the US 51st State. It is certainly not too late for Canada TO WRITE A LETTER TO THE UN SECRETARY GENERAL REPORTING ON THE US THREAT TO OUR SOVEREIGNTY/EXISTENCE AS A NATION!

Back to Canada’s issues with Trump. I’m getting into turgid verbal battles with other Canadians on X over what Canada’s response should be to Trump’s threat to tariff us into statehood if we don’t “fix our borders” and give up our economic store to the US. Most Canadians tragically think Canada should Kow Tow to Trump and NOT have a tariff war. This includes PPC leader Maxime Bernier. Only the stupid and equally demented Trudeau is opting for the tariff war…but as I often say about him–even a stopped clock is right twice a day.
Canada has had dozens of tariff wars with the US in my 78 year lifetime. It’s what we Dooooo. The Free Trade Agreement[s] was born out of numerous individual tariff wars. I don’t know why Canadians are now so terrified about having a tariff war with the US. Especially with a braggadocio like Trump who exaggerates [some would say lies] about everything he says. Like he says that Canada’s 250 billion? dollars in trade deficit with the US. But, then, folks, he also said the other day that Russia lost 60,000,000 citizens “helping” the US win WWII. This figure made the Russians cackle out loud…because the real number is around 27,000,000 according to Wikipedia…and that was for the whole Soviet Union…not Russia proper. The Guy just can’t get his facts straight.
Trump has bragged that America has all it needs and “doesn’t need anything from Canada.”
He’s said that over and over. But, over the past few weeks, I’ve watched on TV as entire communities in California have gone up in flames…hundreds of thousands of homes burned to the ground. Ahhhh… doesn’t Trump think the USA might need a wee bit of lumber for rebuilding all those homes? Well, if he doesn’t–if he has all the trees he needs as he’s bragged…all well and good. There are many, many other countries who want, and will respectfully admit they need, Canadian lumber. Eyes are now on Mexico which just today refused landing permission to a plane full of Trump deportees. Unlike Canada, Mexico also seems to be drawing a line in the sand after the insults and threats they’ve received,

Greencrow concludes: Well, the Good News is that the Brits are taking on Trump with their trademark “British Humour” as was shown in The Independent article about the Trump phone calls with the British political leaders. Canada should probably look at the situation for the joke that it is as well. But Canadians have been through an awful lot in the last nine years…we’ve had it up to here with CRAZY. Stay tuned.

I do respect Henry Makow and also Norman Finklestein as the two exceptions that prove the rule. But I will say this to my American friends…when the Brits start joking about you, you better watch out. They were the Empire for a very long time…much longer than Americans. They know the ropes–and the limitations to imperial power.
Here’s the deal. Someone should tell Trump the reason Canadians would literally rather die than have Canada become a state–and the reason why Denmark does NOT want to sell Greenland to the USA…is because the USA is a terrible neighbour. They keep putting their foot in your door and moving stuff into your place and then saying your place is theirs. Once they get in, they NEVER leave…ask Afghanistan/Iraq/Syria etc. Even Germany. How long have they had hundreds of bases there sincc WWII?
Trump wants to quit NATO because membership includes a mutual defense agreement and Trump wants to attack Canada and Denmark both are NATO members. What will happen is Trump’s insanity is going to drive NATO members into the arms of BRICS for safety/economic security. Then Trump, rather than understanding he caused it all…will see that as an excuse for aggression.
What a mess! and to think I actually thought Trump was the better of the two candidates.
