Looking for the light…
Good Saturday morning beloved sentients. These are dark days indeed. There seems to be an intellectual darkness over the land represented by the leaders of the United States–most particularly the demented 6 times bankrupt Donald Trump. His six declared bankruptcies become ever more significant by the day as he drags the US and the world further into the economic and military morass of the Iran War and the global tariff wars [[particularly focused on Canada].
Today, I want to focus on two pinpoints of light on the intellectually black and mouldy horiZon. The first is Connecticut senator Chris Murphy. I stumbled upon his YouTube channel yesterday and enjoyed watching as he uses the US Senate Chamber to teach basic civics and law to the other nimrod Senators, Watch the video below for a sampling of his many similar videos

Greencrow Continues: Folks it’s been going on for five months now and Iran has made it clear from DAY ONE what their terms were/are. It doesn’t matter. Trump is incapable of negotiation–which by definition is a two way process. The Iranian terms are the same as they always were and are listed below.

Greencrow continues: Iran keeps repeating and repeating its terms but the US under Trump is tone deaf. It simply does NOT register that the other side might have terms they want taken into consideration. ‘Consideration’ is hieroglyphics to the US. They just keep hammering away with their demands, threats and distracting bluster hoping to wear down the opposition. Meanwhile they are backing themselves into a tighter and tighter corner with very few options.
In the case of Iran the options have narrowed to capitulation OR nuking Iran…with a default to the latter.
Terrifyingly, ‘the Idiot’–as Claus Kellerman calls Trump–is using the exact same negotiation “skills” and “strategies” against Canada regarding the trade crisis that Trump started. Trump started both the Iran war and the Canada/US trade crisis and is now boxed in re both.
Kellerman has a humourous way of looking at the crisis–but never forget that, just like in the Iran situation, Trump has boxed the US into a corner with only two ways out: 1) capitulating to Canada’s reasonable demands which are essential to Canada’s survival as a nation–something Trump has openly said he wants to terminate, and 2) invasion by the US–in a military takeover of Canada. Folks these are the two options using Trump’s all or nothing “strategy”.

Greencrow concludes: In this post I have presented two tiny pinpoints of light on an increasingly dark human horiZon. Chris Murphy and Claus Kellerman–one an American and the other Canadian–both are reassurance that logic and intellect have not, like Elvis, left the building…

Believe it or not what happened to Claus happened to me too–about 20 years ago when I was working as a social worker in greater Vancouver and found myself driving out to visit a client in Surrey, BC near the US border. T’was a very scary moment indeed!
