Nobody does hypocrisy quite like the JFTurvert
When Trudeau froze Trucker’s bank accounts for foreign contributions…he knew he had at least $200,000 in his Family Foundation–a donation from China. Hypocrisy on a Herculean scale!
Licia Corbella: Trudeau offended by foreign money only when it opposes him
Good morning sentients. Today is the first day of Spring, 2023 and, just like the deep purple crocii springing up in my front garden, hope is springing eternal in this human breast! One harbinger of the new season was published in the National Post this morning. A seminal op-ed by Licia Corbella. She drops some truth bombs about the deep corruption that lies behind the current JFTurvert crisis. Everything that JFT has railed about his opponents and enemies over the last several years…he has himself done in spades! Please read the article published in entirety below and I will have comments to follow:

“Informed Canadians will have little trouble remembering how fixated Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was with the foreign money donated through crowdfunding sources to the Freedom Convoy.
But for those who don’t recall, here’s a brief refresher. The PM was so obsessed about donations from Americans helping to fund the truckers’ protest on Parliament Hill last winter that he actually brought it up with U.S. President Joe Biden last February. It remains unclear what he expected the president to do. Freeze his citizen’s bank accounts, perhaps?
Despite Trudeau’s obsession with foreign funding, it turns out the majority of donations, 86 per cent through GoFundMe and 60 per cent through Give Send Go, were actually Canadian.
GoFundMe froze the funds after police reports the protests had become an “occupation.” GiveSendGo was subsequently used to raise donations, but then its website was hacked, revealing the names and email addresses of those who contributed to the protests, leading to small business owners and even government employees being cancelled, fired, threatened and harassed .
More than 200 bank accounts were frozen under the Trudeau government’s Emergencies Act for supporting a cause the Prime Minister disagreed with. Regardless of what the Emergencies Act Inquiry found and which side of this issue you fall on, all Canadians should be alarmed that such draconian actions were taken by the prime minister against his own citizens.
Which brings us to the stark contrast between Trudeau’s concern over individual U.S. citizens supporting a cause he disagrees with and his years of inaction and apathy towards foreign money being used to influence the most important cornerstone of our democracy — our free and fair elections.
Last week, Trudeau announced the appointment of former Governor General David Johnston as the special rapporteur to determine whether a public inquiry into foreign interference in Canada’s last two federal elections is warranted. It’s too bad that the focus is only on the 2019 and 2021 federal elections, where it’s alleged that at least 11 candidates were targeted by operatives of the Chinese government working to help Trudeau win those elections.
There is also evidence that foreign money flowed into the 2015 election, though instead of donations coming from the Chinese regime, this money came from U.S. non-governmental organizations with the aim of defeating Conservative candidates.
I broke that story back in 2017 and despite dire warnings of the danger of foreign money influencing Canadian elections, particularly by Jean-Pierre Kingsley, who served as Canada’s chief electoral officer for 17 years — from 1990 to 2007 — Trudeau’s government did very little to remedy election law loopholes big enough to drive a “747 jet” through, as Kingsley put it.
A report titled Elections Canada Complaint Regarding Foreign Influence in the 2015 Canadian Election (which has not been released publicly, but which I have reviewed) alleged that political advocacy groups — so-called third parties — worked together to bypass election spending limits.
The Canada Elections Act states that “a third party shall not circumvent, or attempt to circumvent, a limit set out … in any manner, including by splitting itself into two or more third parties for the purpose of circumventing the limit or acting in collusion with another third party so that their combined election advertising expenses exceed the limit.”
The Act also dictates that: “No person who does not reside in Canada shall, during an election period, in any way induce electors to vote or refrain from voting for a particular candidate” unless the person is a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident.
Canada Decides, the registered society that wrote that report, led by Joan Crockatt , a former Conservative MP for Calgary Centre, who lost her seat to Liberal Kent Hehr by 750 votes, alleged that “the 2015 election was skewed by money from wealthy foreigners.”
The report shows that 114 third parties spent $6 million during the 2015 election and many were funded by the California and New York-based Tides Foundation — which donated $1.5 million to Canadian third parties. It’s important to note that there was an $8,788 spending limit per riding for that election.
Crockatt’s seat was one of 29 targeted by Leadnow, an organization allegedly “spawned” by foreign funding, with a campaign it called Vote Together. A December 2015 Leadnow report called Defeating Harper , boasts how successful its campaign was in the 2015 federal election. “The Conservatives were defeated in 25 out of 29 ridings, and . . . in the seats the Conservatives lost, our recommended candidate was the winner 96 per cent of the time,” states the report.
The Defeating Harper report admits that it particularly focused on 11 ridings, including Calgary Centre, by sending “paid staff members” to run the Vote Together campaign which urged citizens to cast their ballot for the left-of-centre candidate most likely to win.
When you consider that Conservative MP Dean Del Mastro spent one month in jail and four months under house arrest after being criminally convicted for spending too much of his own money on his own political campaign in 2008, it appears as though third-parties, including ones funded by foreign money, are held to a much lower standard than Canadians involved directly in the electoral process.
Indeed, Yves Côté, who was the commissioner of Elections Canada between 2012 and 2022, admitted during an April 2017 Senate Legal and Constitutional Affairs Committee that an investigation needs to be launched following questions by then Conservative Senator Linda Frum.
“Issues of significance have been raised,” said Cote, during the senate committee hearing, “which in my view deserves Parliament taking the time to looking at the situation, trying to understand what has happened, what is likely to happen and then taking measures . . . to make sure there is compliance.”
It’s too bad, Trudeau’s government didn’t heed his advice.
Côté added that “the Supreme Court of Canada said the objective of maintaining a level playing field is, for them, a very important objective.”
At that time Canadians could only donate $1,550 to political parties and candidates. Union and corporate donations have been banned completely.
However, in that Senate hearing, Commissioner Côté said that as long as foreign money is donated to a third party six months prior to the election writ being dropped, the amount that can be donated is endless. Frum made the following observation during that April 13 senate hearing: “I could take a cheque for $10 million from Saudi Arabia, from Iran, from China — I could take any amount of money from a foreign contributor so long as I, a Canadian citizen, am receiving it?” Côté said as long as funds are received six months before an election “the third party is free to use that money.”
“Most Canadians would be very alarmed by this,” added Frum. “This happened in the 2015 election.” In 2019, the Elections Modernization Act (Bill C-76) was passed stating that third parties that register to be involved in an election campaign can still accept money from foreign sources, but that foreign money must not be used for partisan purposes. Frum likened the law to having a smoking section on an airplane — the smoke, or in this case foreign money — will still pollute the atmosphere, or political process.
No foreign money should be allowed to be accepted by any organizations involved in our elections. It appears as though Trudeau is only offended about foreign money involving itself in Canadian politics when that money is used by his adversaries. If foreign funding is intended to help him win elections, he looks the other way. Here’s hoping David Johnston will recommend a public inquiry so Trudeau can no longer get away with such hypocrisy.”

Greencrow comments: So, there was Turvert and his henchwoman, Chrystia Freeland last February, 2022 railing away about the possibly foreign “Go Fund Me” contributions patriots made to the Trucker’s Freedom Convoy. Canadians, who had given as little as $8 to the fund, had their bank accounts froZen. Meanwhile, behind the velvet PMO curtains, JFT was taking FOREIGN money in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, as far back as his first Federal campaign as leader of the Liberal party in 2015!
Foreign money is only dirty when it’s given to JFT’s political enemies…so says the Hercules of Hypocrisy! As this information filters down to the nearly brain dead…because it’s finally being reported on the MSM…the outcry will grow for JFT to finally resign…years after his first outrageous scandal when he took a vacation on the island of the Aga Khan…while the Aga Khan [a notoriously corrupt international power broker] was lobbying the Federal Government for some kind of advantage.
Since that first scandal, there have been so many it’s been a mind numbing blur. None so diabolical as him pushing a deadly vaxxZine on Canadians while he was personally invested in two Vancouver companies [Acuitas and Arbutas] that produced the mRNA toxin for said vaxxZines!
Remember, folks, no matter how egregious the scandals were, the MSM was silent. A media lockstep vow of Omertà hung over the land. Only now is the MSM beginning to report on how corrupt the Lie-beral Regime led by JFTurvert really is. Why is that?
Folks, the Western Mainstream Media is owned and operated by the Illuminati run Deep State. This operation runs out of Europe and other international locations. It gets it’s orders what to publish from them. They have obviously decided to deep-six the Turvert probably because he’s so deeply unpopular he can no longer push their agenda…which is faltering throughout the world.
So, start off with the premise that they want to get rid of him. Then look at the facts. It was CSIS who provided the convenient whistleblower and evidence relating to the Chinese interference. CSIS is a foreign mole in the Canadian government/bureaucracy and it is also owned by the same entities who own/operate the Deep State.
Who do they have in mind to replace JFTurvert between now and the imminent election? That would likely be some benign asset like Marc Garneau the Quebec astro not. They cannot put Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland [also Deputy Prime Minister] into the slot because she’s EVEN MORE UNPOPULAR THAN JFT IF THAT’S EVEN POSSIBLE!.
In conclusion, we’re getting down to the short strokes folks, I know, I know, I’ve said THAT many times before…but if you saw the look on Turvert’s face while being interviewed on the TV news last night…

….you would know that even he realizes in the back of that pusillanimous brain that the “end is nigh”.
If he has any brains at all he should be using them to save his ass….find a way to leave without being arrested for Treason and corruption. Find a safe refuge out of the public eye. The game is over.
When I hear that he’s finally gone, I plan to get into my 2006 Vibe and drive around Coquitlam honking my horn. I am sure I will not be alone. I haven’t done that since the Vancouver Canucks hockey team made it to the Stanley Cup Final [which they, sadly, did not win] . On that occasion, me and my two young sons [as they were at the time] got into the car and drove around waving Canucks flags out the windows and honking the horn.
Gotta get me some Canadian Flags to hang out the window…SOON!
